Ultrasound diagnosis of developmental dysplasia of the hip

The study presents the advantages and deficienies of ultrasound diagnosis of hip development dysplasia by Grafs method from a pediatricians point of view. The research was conducted at the infants advisory clinic of the Trogir out-patients clinic. The first pediatric clinical and ultrasound examination included 392 infants, 784 hips. Clinical examination did not reveal 69% of hips with pathologic results diagnosed by ultrasound
The use Grafs method of ultrasound diagnostics enabled early diagnosing and treatment of all manifested forms of development disorder of the hip joint
