Obesity prevention beginning in childhood

The occurence of obesity in the world is more frequent in adults, but also in children and adolescents. Present studies show that a predominate number of obese children become obese adults with the development of a variety of obesity related diseases. For that reason today obesity prevention programs are increasingly important. The emphasis is in particular: on the following nutrition in the infant period and in childhood for excess weight or malnutrition prevention; psychological factors, specially emotional deprivation in childhood; cultural and social norms on account of dietetic restriction or obesity attitudes during childhood. To avoid the problems from excess weight, and also the eating disorders like bulimia or anorexia, it is necessary to seek a new culture of nutrition.
