Bronchial stenosis in newborn infants on mechanical ventilation
Four children are presented with acquired bronchial stenosis caused by assisted ventilation (in a duration of 6 to 68 days). Three of then were pre-term. The most important diagnostic methods are bronchoscopy, MSCT and bronchography. Since MSCT and bronchography show the size of the stenosis, these methods help us to choose the best therapeutic treatment-surgical resection, bronchial dilatation, laser photoresection, criotherapy and implantation of an endotracheal stent. Keywords:
